Where to stay: This beautiful Airbnb is in our favourite part of the island and the perfect nest for your trip with your friends
How to go around: Car rental
Day 1 - Explore and enjoy the Lagoon
Drive from the airport towards your villa to settle down; don’t waste any time and go to the Chalk Sound National Park, a huge lagoon with turquoise color and hundreds of rocky islands that you can explore by kayak, canoe, paddle board or by a boat tour (70$/pp for 2-3 hours) from Las Brisas Restaurant, a beautiful terrace where you can have lunch or dinner with a breathtaking view.
Day 2 - Adventure on the very West Side
If you feel adventurous, make sure to rent a 4x4 car and explore the Southwestern Side of the island; expect dirt roads and adrenaline, since it can be quite rough in some areas. You can reach the scenic point Bonefish Shipwreck: make sure to bring water and food because most probably you won’t meet anybody else on the beach.
Otherwise, if you don’t feel like it, you can still reach Bonefish Shipwreck by Jet Ski from Sapodilla Bay Beach or go to Malcolm Beach. If you opt for this one, make sure to grab a drink or reserve a table for a romantic dinner at the Amanyara Resort, which you can reach from the white beach.
Day 3 - Sapodilla and Taylor Bay
Today will be unforgettable! Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay are definitely two of the best beaches of the island and very special gems of the Caribbeans in general. Our suggestion is to spend the morning at Sapodilla Bay. Here, you can enjoy some queen conch (the very typical mollusk offered in many dishes) or freshly caught fish by the water (or in the water) at Omar’s Beach Hut and move to Taylor Bay for the afternoon to fully relax and appreciate the warm and calm crystal clear water entirely for you.
Book in advance your dinner (and party) at AZIZA for some local vibes; they offer live music and local food with a Mediterranean twist.
Day 4 - Sunset at Leeward Beach
It’s time to explore the East side of the island. The first stop will be Hidden Beach: a very long bay with pink sand. Grab some snacks or just some coconut water at Island Scoop; this little cafe is in the city center nearby all the resorts, restaurants and gift shops. Reach Leeward Beach for another dip on the turquoise water in the north part of the island. If you are romantic, bring what you need for an Aperitivo on the beach enjoying the orange sunset; otherwise, reserve your table at Infiniti Restaurant and Raw Bar: one of Grace Bay Resort’s restaurants featuring a large and refined menu served by the beach.
Day 5 - Arrivederci Turks and Caicos!
While this is your last day on the island, we are sure you will be back soon! Before leaving, however, find and rent a private boat (even though it’s quite hard to come across one)! You can either find a luxury charter or some tours and excursions. Spend the last morning on a catamaran exploring the third-largest barrier reef in the world for amazing snorkeling and a break on an uninhabited island.
See you soon for more inspo here on the EC!
Our practical suggestions for you
How long: 4-5 days
Season: Avoid August-November for hurricane season, even though there is generally little rainfall throughout the year.
How to travel through the island: Self drive a rental car; preferably a 4x4 if you are willing to discover the most savage part of the island.
Practical advice: Remember (especially when you are approaching a roundabout) that you are driving on British territory and therefore you will need to sit on the left side and drive on the left lane!
